The Dog Barn – Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement & Acceptance
– By booking and using The Dog Barn, you (the “Client”) agree to these Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”), which govern your use of our facility.

 

2. Access, Entry & Right of Refusal

 The Dog Barn reserves the right to refuse entry, or to ask any person (or dog) to leave the premises at any time, for any reason related to safety, behaviour, or non-compliance.

 Ownership of the building and land remains with The Dog Barn; booking does not grant any rights over the property.

 

3. Bookings, Payments & Cancellation Policy

– Bookings must be made in advance, via our online booking system, and are confirmed only once payment is received.

– Your allocated timeslot includes your arrival, session, and departure. Please do not overrun your slot.

– Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your session start time receive a full refund.

– Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your session are non-refundable.

– If The Dog Barn needs to close the facility unexpectedly (for example, due to emergency or maintenance), we will offer a full refund or a credit to rebook.

 

4. Conduct & Safety Responsibilities

– Clients are responsible for their dogs at all times while on site; this includes supervising behaviour, ensuring dogs do not become aggressive, and intervening when necessary.

– Please drive slowly on the premises: children and horses may be present.

 Children must be supervised by an adult at all times; The Dog Barn is not a playground.

 Only dogs are permitted on the play equipment. Personal toys or other items should not be brought in (unless permitted).

 Smoking, alcohol consumption, and open flames are strictly prohibited inside the building.

 Please ensure the entry/exit doors are fully closed and secured behind you to prevent escapes.

 

5. Cleanliness & Maintenance

 Clients must clean up after their dogs using the bags and bins provided.

 Please report any damage, holes, or hazards (for example, in the flooring or equipment) immediately to staff.

 Any damage caused by misuse or negligence may be charged to the Client.

 

6. Dog Health & Insurance

 All dogs using the facility must be in good health, fully vaccinated, and up to date with parasite prevention (fleas, ticks, worms).

 If your dog shows signs of illness (diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy, etc.), please do not bring them to the park.

 Clients are responsible for ensuring they have suitable third-party liability insurance for their dog (e.g., via pet insurance) while on site.

 

7. Behaviour & Handling of Dogs

 Dogs should not be left unattended in the building at any time.

 Harsh or aggressive handling (physical or verbal) is not allowed.

 Use of training tools like choke chains, prong collars, or shock collars is prohibited.

 Muzzling and leashing may be required for certain dogs/breeds based on behaviour or regulation / insurance needs (especially for “dangerous breeds” if applicable).

 

8. Liability & Risk

 Use of The Dog Barn is entirely at the Client’s own risk.

 The Dog Barn does not accept responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to persons, dogs, or personal property.

 Vehicles parked on site are left at the owner’s risk; The Dog Barn accepts no liability for any damage, loss, or theft in the car park.

 

9. Marketing & Media

 By using the facility, you grant The Dog Barn the right to use photographs, videos, or other media that include you or your dog(s) for marketing or promotional  purposes.

 

10. Changes to Terms & Conditions

 The Dog Barn may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

 The latest version will always be published on our website. Your continued use of the facility after changes means you accept the new terms.

 

11. Disputes & Applicable Law

 These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland / United Kingdom.

 Any dispute arising from your booking or use of the facility should first be raised with us directly by email. If unresolved, legal action will be subject to the appropriate courts in our jurisdiction.
